Description

This was a piece completed at the end of 2019. I was lucky enough to nab an elusive at home commission spot from Jon & the choice of what to get was clear to me. Reign of the Supermen will always be at the core of my comic DNA so I had to go for STEEL busting through a wall. I always associate John Henry Irons with smashing through given he did that in his debut issue. Love how this one turned out, feels like a pin-up straight of of my favorite era in comics!

Another great pin up that looks like it was from back in the day. Bogdanove gives Steel such a heavy metal look that his weight behind the hammer swing can be felt by the bricks and their children and their children's children.

TBF, IMO this piece actually surpasses the Steel pinups and covers of the early '90s ! Truly striking and iconic !
