Description

Drawn by Bruce Jones in 1987 - this lovely portrait of Sheena was used by Bruce Jones to support the release of the title he was writing, JUNGLE COMICS, from Blackthorne Comics in their little solicitation flyer (see attached extra images). From the time the flyer was sent out, I thought the illustration was a lovely one and well-worth seeking out the original art. I thought surely the piece would be used for a cover itself, but so far as I can tell it only appeared in the BLACKTHORNE PREVIEW MAGAZINE for April 1988, Vol. 4, No. 4. Obtained from Koch Comic Art's Steve Robertson in May 2017.

The original art was apparently a Christmas gift from Bruce Jones to a couple named Scott and Angie.
