DescriptionOk.. so I have a couple things to admit….1) As much as I like to say I’m an example collector … there are exceptions to that rule and Alan Davis is one of them 2) I have a thing for title pages… I’m drawn to them.. I just think the set up of the book is so important.. dare I say even more than the cover???? 3) drawn on words do it for me! Word bubbles are one thing… but give ma a big ole drawn title or sound effect and I get weak in my knees! Now that my confessions are out of the way..let’s talk about this bomb pieces that fits all of my dirty confessions above! 1990 was smack dab in my collecting eye of the storm.. and I was getting just old enough to be a little more discerning about the stories and books… these square bound one shots fit the bill and this one was a home run for me. I was already enamored with Davis’ art … Wolverine was my guy and this was so offbeat and self contained I loved it. This is also Alan Davis first story he wrote and drew as well as that perfect unison of Davis and Neary I can’t get enough of! Social/Sharing |

an absolute banger J!!! awesome to see it in your collection. I used to say I was an example collector too but then I looked at the amount of artists I had multiple pieces/examples from and had to call BS on myself, lol. It is what it is sometimes with certain artists, titles, etc. - always hungry for more. Well done with this one!

Davis title page from Bloodlust, that's fantastic. Rings all the right bells for me as well. Cheers!

FANTASTIC!!! Davis, Neary, Wolverine, a Title page... What else can you ask for? This rendition of Wolverine is such a classic one from the late 80s/early 90s and instantly recognizable!! Gorgeous addition to your collection!!

LOVE this book! Davis always looks good but Neary's juicy, lush inks take his artwork to the next level--and this story is such a great example of their partnership. I so regret not picking up a page when they were floating around out there. Congrats on a fantastic pick-up!

Absolutely share your feelings on title pages. Usually cover quality at a portion of the price. Bold titles, credits, etc. Love me some title pages and this one is a beauty. Huge congrats

So different from Farmer, yet so beautiful in its own way. And I don't know anyone who wouldn't break their own rules for Alan Davis. Just a great title splash.
