11x14" artboard features full body specialty art of X-Men and Avengers member Beast in his furry blue form, illustrated in typical acrobatic pose by John Byrne, noted for his work on X-Men and Avengers during the late 1970s into the 1980s. Notably, Beast was a popular member of The Avengers during this period. Byrne penciled art and it was partially inked (inker is unknown), completing Beast's head and face, upper torso, legs and hands. Bottom right of art has been signed in pencil by Byrne, who added "Chicago 1982" notation as art was obtained at the 1982 Chicago Comic-Con. Artboard has notable staining and scattered moisture rippling/staining. VG/Fine overall, but art could be matted and framed for nice display.
