ISSUE SUMMARY: "The New Revolution" - In the wake of the Phoenix, the world has changed and is torn on exactly what Cyclops and his team of X-Men are – visionary revolutionaries or dangerous terrorists? Whatever the truth, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik are out in the world gathering up new mutants and redefining the name UNCANNY X-MEN.

IN CHRIS' OWN WORDS: "Bendis was looking for an iconic Che Guevara image of CYK. I kind of ran with that. And I wanted to keep it simple to reflect that someone made it at home. I spec balloon placements and moved the art to the right to accommodate the captions that I indicated should be placed-- a majority of--down the left side of the panel. I don't have final word on that and they moved the captions elsewhere."

COMMENT: An instant classic!!! What's not to love about this page? Drawn by Bachalo, inked by Townsend with an image of Cyclops that has been used in every printed issue to date as the title page.

I know the draw for many is the middle panel with Cyke, but it has been the last panel on this page that has stayed with me for years now. It represents Scott's influential power and full ascension to Magneto-like status of martyrdom.
