DescriptionSet before the Civil War, Pariah, Missouri, is a frontier riverboat town and a haven for evil. Hiram Buchanan, a Pinkerton spy, uncovers a crime syndicate and manipulates a misfit team to follow him into danger, where the supernatural is all around them. Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Deadwood. To explain what is happening in this melee would spoil too many plot points, so go give it a read yourself!Pariah, Missouri, was written, inked, and colored by Andres Salazar with pencil art done by Jose Pescador. This is the art used for this page's publication. It was digitally penciled and inked by Pescador and Salazar. Then Salazar hand-colored in watercolor over a print of the "inked" art. There are also small touches of hand-inked black used for small details and touch-ups. I backed the Kickstarter as this book was first being published, and as this is the only type of OA available for the series. SO, I was glad to pick up an example of this blended digital-traditional approach. Social/Sharing |

RIP Ozzy. And he certainly could have been a character if this was ever converted to a live action streaming series.

You had me at Buffy meets Deadwood, sounds like a blast! This battle/melee page looks cool and it's nice that there was some traditional color art put to paper even though the linework was digital.

Wow! Need to check this book out! Not only do we get some wonderful colors, but also some fantastic line work. Was immediately drawn to the style and then I see a giant bear getting attacked by what appear to be zombies?! Yes, please. The force is strong with one with this one, Mr. Wedding. Great page.
