Beautiful painted splash page from Army of Darkness by John Bolton
painted in acrylics, size 22 x 15 inch

Art from this limited series painted by John Bolton is extremely rare.
The Boltons are holding on to the pages.

I remember asking them at a convention in Germany in 2002 or 2003 if they still had any pages and if they did what the pages would cost.

They told me that they still had most of the art and that they might be willing to sell one or two pages. I had copies of the books and asked them which pages they might want to sell. They showed me a few pages with nothing on them, no major characters, no action or anything interesting. They told me the price would be 3000-4000 GBP each and that was 14 years ago.

I was lucky enough to be able to buy this page from someone who sold art for the Boltons in Germany and who published the Bolton fanzine in the 1990's. He was allowed to buy 3 pages in the mid nineties and this beautiful splash page is one of them.
