Description

This illustration was done by Joe Shuster at the Hotel Dennis for a bellhop in 1944. It's amazing to think about how the world looked at that time in the midst of World War II, as well as where Shuster found himself given his character's growing popularity. Thanks to Mike Burkey for the opportunity to add this great piece of Superman history!
