Description

So happy to pick this up - one of my favorite Rom villains, as every time Rom faced off against them it made him hate the Wraiths even more for having perverted good Earth doggies through their nefarious sorcery and super science.

The physicality of the middle panel with the lettered sound effects makes this such a fun page.

A few years ago I bought the color guide and several others from this issue from the colorist, so reuniting them was a bonus.

The action is fierce! Sal did great work on this series and Joe made it classy with the look of traditional Marvel. If they ever made a villain action figure for ROM to fight, they would have sold a lot more toys!

What an awesome page! The battle against the Hellhound of the Dark Nebula is intense, and you can feel Rom’s growing disgust for the Wraiths with every confrontation. The physicality of the middle panel is a standout, with the bold, lettered sound effects really heightening the action and impact of the fight. It’s great how the Hellhound’s presence distorts what was once a noble creature, adding a layer of emotional weight to the battle. Buscema and Sinnott really bring this encounter to life!
