Description

I usually collect older Hawkman art, but could not pass this up - loved the symmetry of the page and (to me) a very recognizable Carl Sands.

Comparing the original art to the published version shows that the last 15% or so of the page was cut off to make room for the 'Year of the Villain" banner along the top (additionally the top of Carl Sands' head was added - presumably digitally, but haven't gotten an answer to that yet).

Pencils by Pat Olliffe and inks by the late Tom Palmer.

Amazing cover design! Line for line, it is one of the best of Palmer in his later years! From dense fine cross hatching to solid fills, this one shows a range of his talent and experience!
