DescriptionHawkman & Hawkgirl in flight, picked up at Terrificon 2023. Mr. Milgrom was great work with and it is a thrill to get a piece by the artist who penciled the first comic I purchased - Showcae #102 - with my own money (well, as much as any 8 year old has their own money).Social/Sharing |

You are a genius to think of this commission. I enjoyed those issues of Showcase. Milgrom truly calories the essence of the Hawks, the wings and head gear are what i always look it. Beautiful addition to you Gallery.

Thanks! The version of the Hawks in that Showcase run were my first expxosure to them outside of the Superfriends, so it has really stuck with me. I was torn between asking for Hawkman/Hawkgirl or Rom, but given my history with those comics, had to go for the Hawks!

Nice and timeless renditions by Al Milgrom as these costumes span back to the late 50's. The opened wings look is very impressive!

We talked a lot about the costume elements (including the Kubert-inspired booties) as he was doing a prelim sketch.

Its a beautiful pice by Migrom,
and you can feel Joe Kubert infkuence
under those pencils...

Definitely some Kubert inspiration in the helmet, wings and booties!
