Description

Hawkworld #21-#26 was a run of covers by Graham Nolan that featured a hero image in the foreground and a panel in the background showing a snippet of the plot from the issues. Always enjoyed that different take on a cover and was happy to pick one of them up.

Thanks - was thrilled (and surprised) to get this one! Really liked Nolan's take, especially with the metal wings from the run but was great to see him do the feathered look as well.

The layout is reminscent of the 70's DC 100 page giants where the main character acts as a presenter and stands in front of panels of the stories within the book.

Loved Nolan's covers on this series. He brought a very cohesive and exciting look to the book. Even a relatively quiet cover like this is dynamic due to the layout and spotlight on the xx age Hawkman (I can't remember to story well enough to remember who this is).
