Description

Published as pre-publication advertising for Hawkman #1 (volume 5). Was originally published as pencils only, then inked (and background added) by Bryan Hitch in 2020 (posted on twitter at the time).

Thanks to Bill Cox for working out the purchase for me - it was mentioned on a CAF update that Bryan had some art for sale and Bill got me photos of all the Hawkman pieces within 24 hours when I asked in the chat.

Thanks! Really love pieces that capture the physical presence of the character and wings and Hitch did a great job doing that here.

Thanks! I grabbed this and two of the covers that I'll post later - every one of the Hawkman pieces he had were tempting, congrats on getting some of them! (The one with Sgt. Rock was VERY tempting!)

It's a grand presentation of Hawkman with wings in full flight showing his majesty in navigating the skies! Every feather and every part of his antomy is done to accentuate the soaring in front of us.

Love to see how different artists draw and ink the wings, there's such variation in how they do them.
