DescriptionThe Magik Limited Series was my introduction to the world of the All-New All-Different Era of X-Men.All four issues were sent to me in a care package from my Aunt. However, not every book in the care package landed the same way with me. I did not, for example, become a life-long Jack of Hearts fan. However, Magik's story engrossed and captivated me. For long-term story telling, the limited series was a ground-floor entry point (like the MCU Iron Man film) that paid off with an epic climax and culmination in Inferno (like Endgame). I have always have been a huge fan of Illyana Rasputin and this limited series in particular. To hear more of my thoughts on the limited series in detail, click here! Social/Sharing |

I couldn't follow the dark spell mumbo jumbo, but scenes like these had so much emotion in them. Sal sure knows how to stage a tearjerker and Palmer was the same way.

Nice page! I'm glad you were able to pick one up while they're out there right now before they all disappear into collections.

Whoa: that's rough. Surely she has some odd shape birth mark that only a mother would recognize to help her out.

This page is such a poignant part of the story. Can you just imagine this happening in real life, where you've disappeared, your parents don't know of your whereabouts and you suddenly show up at their home, 15 years older than you were when you disappeared, even though only a few months have passed. Very disturbing to say the least. But also Magik!

I agree with you. I loved the Magik miniseries as well. I was struck by how the storyline changed the way I looked at Illyana Rasputin and the rest of the X-Man team. I loved John Buscema's work on the title. He was good at some much more than just monsters and action. This page is a great example of Buscema's uncanny ability to tell a story. He was very good at breaking down a story line and using POV to keep a story moving. Look at this page--Not much actually happens here but Buscema uses different angles in each panel to make it interesting. Great page, congrats!
