DescriptionAfter refusing to help the Rebellion create their own Death Star using Aphra's latest score (a Jedi weapon called the Farkiller, cause it can kill at long distances, duh), Aphra returned home with her ward, Vulaada, (Vu for short) only to discover that a bounty had been put on them by their latest employer. Whew. That probably should have been three sentences.Hoping to make a deal for protection with the Empire, Aphra planned to steal the Farkiller with the help of Wookiee bounty hunter Black Krrsantan (affectionately called Santy by Aphra). But her ex and latest rebel recruit, Magna Tolvan, has discovered Aphra's plan. We have Krrsantan in a space suit, Aphra and Tolvan having a Han and Leia moment, and the heist of a Jedi artifact super weapon. Sounds just about right for the ol’ doc. Another page I picked up from Marc Deering at HeroesCon 2023, and finally getting loaded into my gallery. Inks by Marc, who split inking chores with Scott Hanna this issue, over printed blue lines by Andrea Broccardo. Social/Sharing |

Vu's pet qaberworm, Gurtyl, is just playing. Sure she's breaking bones, but that's just how qaberworms play. What is the face on a milk cartoon equivalent of a birth page? Gurtyl gets left behind during Aphra's hasty exit and other than an indirect mention two issues later she's never reappears in the series. This is her last panel appearance. Probably still out there playing!

I don't think a little mouth aparatus here or there ever stopped people from doing that before.

Santy in the space suit with that look on his face makes this page for me haha. Glad these finds are being dug up and shared, great Aphra pages.
