Description

Lloyd Alexander’s Chronicles of Prydain series cemented my love of fantasy as a child. This is the cover to the paperback of the final book, The High King.

This small painting is truly captivating in its detail. In learning a bit about the artist and style, this work is done with watercolor pencils and brushed over with water.

soon as I saw the thumbnail for this I instantly recognized it, even though I don't think I've held that paperback in my hands in over 3 decades. Huge congrats.

I had the same reaction when I saw it on a search. Knew I had to have it. It capture memories of reading this in elementary school.

This brings back many fond memories! Probably my favorite fantasy series growing up. I think I still have my copy sitting in a box somewhere!
