DescriptionSometimes it’s the smaller conventions where you can get an amazing piece of art. A few years ago I acquired this piece from Rick. I don’t remember how he came to this selection of X-Men as I was too awestruck by the fast-ball special Wolverine gets from Colossus and the stunningly beautiful Storm on dual 11x17s. I bought it on the spot. The other special thing is ‘Dangerous’ Dan Green. Up to that point I never saw him at a convention, in the east coast at least. It was an X-Men reunion of sorts as they were some of the creators from the time I was a regular reader of the X-Men in my youth. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to be fortunate to be at the right place at the right time.Social/Sharing |

Dustin, you just went to the convention, met Leonardi and Green at their booth and Leonardi just happened to have this finished piece available for sale? Either way, it is absolutely magnificent. Truly outstanding, congratulations!

When I had arrived at the con, Leonardi was already done with the pencils. Green was halfway into the inks but I bought it and just waited till it was completed. I know artists bring pre-drawn art to shows but I never expected it would be something like this.

This is incredible--holds up with Leonardi's vintage X-Men material, which is a very high bar! Wolvie is perfect, Storm is gorgeous--love the hand lettering. Jealous!!

Looks like a pin up that could have been published from anywhere in the 80's and on as this has a classic line up with the Leonardi and Green team that worked so well together.

Love it! So eXceptional. Congrats! Big art always suits the X-Men better than any other set of characters.
