Description

Those early Spider-Man covers illustrated by Mr. Vess had a dreamlike beauty that easily stopped me on my tracks just to stare at them. For Spidey it culminated on the stunning Spirits of the Earth graphic novel. Fast forward to the present day and now I feel I’m in a dream state simply by holding a pencil art of said hero.
Special thanks to Filippo Marzo for giving me a heads up when the opportunity came up and to finally achieve what I once thought was an illusion.

In the classic black suit reminscent of when Vess painted the cover to Web of Spider-Man #1! Really moody piece with Vess' smooth pencilwork as Spidey swings across the foggy and rainy atmosphere!
