There�s a Blue Beetle movie coming out in a couple of weeks from when I�m writing this. Will it be any good? Given DC�s recent track record, I�m not particularly hopeful. However, I thought that with the film on the way, it was a good time to post this.

Generation Lost was a 24 issue biweekly series that spanned the period between Blackest Night and the New 52. It was a reunion of sorts of the Giffen/DeMatteis team that I loved (but without Giffen or DeMatteis), so I went into this series with high hopes. The book didn�t live up to those hopes. It lacked the humor and charm that made the late 1980s/early 1990s JLI/JLA/JLE so wonderful. The fact that the villain in the series was Max Lord didn�t help matters, as I hated the drastic change in Max�s character in the lead up to Infinite Crisis.

All of that being said, the covers for Generation Lost were created by a talented group of artists, with Cliff Chiang turning in some really nice work on the covers he did. Chiang�s cover was the best part of issue #7, and I was happy to pick this up from Felix Comic Art some time back.

Great composition! The inks look so smooth and clean, almost as if they're on vellum.

Even if the story doesn't impress, we can still enjoy us some nice OA images :) Always dug Jaime' BB look! Hoping at least for the flick to see some cool sequences of it in action! Congrats!

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the film. I like Xolo Maridueña in Cobra Kai, and I think if nothing else, he should be good in the part.

Agreed, not a great series by far. Nevertheless, you can't go wrong with anything drawn by Chiang and it's a fun cover.

Beautiful Team Shot! Yeah, it's too bad the direction they went in with these characters and the story, but I was admittedly following the series with similar hopes to recapture the 'Glory Days.'

It was as if the writer and/or editor had no clue as to what made the fans enjoy these characters together in the first place, although I do admit that I liked the new Rocket Red (even if I prefer Dmitri).
