Description

A few days ago I posted a dapper Logan, and today’s Logan…a little more…crispy. Part of his plan to get Mystique in Get Mystique involves him being blown up in a car. Gets him in a morgue that gets him closer to Raven. As he says right before being blown up, “it hurts like hell being me” :)

I actually had the cover to this issue and sold it last year (thanks, Aznfunk!), but I like the arc so much I was happy to see Ron Garney had some pages at HeroesCon earlier this year. So yep, I nabbed one so as to still have a piece from it. Cool scene, Logan on the comeback trail with that healing factor, and some organic graphite work by Garney, which went right to colors for print without inking. It’s cool in the pages following this one you see Logan getting better, healing up as every panel goes by. Good stuff.

Logan’s 50th anniversary adds continue!

Man o man do I love some tight pencils- Garney really went to town, showcasing fine, precise details and then expanding out for a gory finale! Killer indeed!

There's a place for this art
And I know that comic love
And this page it is brighter in each panel
And if your Wolvie’s fried
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this page you'll heal, there's no hurt in pencils

There are ways to get there
If you care enough to catch Raven
Make a Marvel space
Get a better page

Heal in morgue
Make it a better place
For you and Wolvie, and the entire mutant race
There are people buying
If you care enough Wolvie’s healing
Make a better place for you and Garney

There's a place

Weapon X

Where there is no hope to rest

But got out, and there was so much less sorrowwww

Still I

Must get Raven

If I care enough for the livin

To make a better place for you and for meeee

Felt inspired to keep it goin', MW!  Thanks, man, and all, for the comments!

Evergreen Garney can pull off anything, including Wolvie as crispy as a New Year's Peking duck!

Full Freddy Krueger vibes with this interior, as we see claws come up through the mattress and a fully burnt monster emerge, ready to pounce. "Nightmare on Bub Street 3"

The pencils from Garney here are detailed and beautiful for such a tough image. Gives us a good idea of just how much Logan can take.

Morgue - boiler room, 3 claws - 4 claws, both well done!  Lol.  I didn't even think about that, but it's there!  And Ian Saint above said he loves the right knee...mayhaps what looks like a face there?!  Another Freddy connection!  Nightmare on Graymalkin Lane?!  :)  Thanks for the add, T to the 2!

Poor Logan always gets put through the ringer. Ron did such an amazing job on this page. Love his pencils.

Really enjoyed Garney's run on Wolverine. Nice example of his work here with the tight pencils. Great last panel also.

Deep fried Wolverine is a Canadian delicacy. The meat is tough as hell though! If you can no longer own the cover, this page is a pretty cool replacement!

Lucky Logan has a healing factor as you do not get much lady action rocking the Crispy Kruger look. Rons a great artist.

Great page! Pencil really lends itself to conveying that charred texture you get when you accidentally overcook your Logan.

Stunning Wolverine page by Ron Garney! I love this page, with the seemingly quiet opening scene in the morgue, followed by the surprising panel with the claws popping out of the body bag, followed by a crispy Wolverine bursting out in full berzerker mode! Beautifully composed and penciled by Garney! Great pick-up!

His skin cream is clearly better than Deadpools.
