DescriptionCover dated March 2018.Do you believe in love at first sight? I do, at least when it comes to this cover, which I loved from the moment I first saw it. I’ve admired Bilquis Evely’s artwork for some time now, and I thought she did a sensational job here with her depiction of Rogue. There’s a feeling of joy emanating from this cover that I rarely get from comics these days - Rogue is smiling! This reminds me of the cover to the first issue of Rogue’s 1990s miniseries by the great Mike Wieringo and Terry Austin, complete with the use of the Jim Lee-designed costume. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Rogue & Gambit series itself, which I wish could have gone on longer. It was light-hearted fare that I thought captured the best qualities of its lead characters. I love her line, it's so fine. You hit the nail on the head though, this cover is full of joy and exhudes a ton of FUN, which is not common with Rogue images. I'm not at all surprised that you love this one. Great piece!

Great addition. Evely's art is strong and her line quite fine.

Great cover and it DOES remind me of the 90s cover and now I have foil covers on my mind! Major congrats!

Foil covers! I like to make fun of the gimmick covers of the 1990s now, but I have to admit that quite a few of them were pretty cool (with the glow-in-the-dark Ghost Rider cover being the high watermark in my opinion).

I just checked to see if Vanessa Carlton is on Cameo because I would have paid to have her sing these lyrics. Sadly, she is not.

It really is so nice to see Rogue so joyful. Her powers have always made her life so fraught with tension. This image just makes me so happy. Well done!!

Rogue must have absorbed someone's power to make sweet covers, because this is great. That Rogue attitude just shines through. And it's so crisp and detailed. Great work by Evely. Congrats!

Ooh, that's exquisite, Michael. So much attention to detail, particularly with her hair and that background. And she's smiling! As you say, rare, so gotta like that. Can't help but smile myself looking at it :) And I can see the parallel with the Wieringo cover. Nice connection there. Congrats, man!

Congrats on this one! This was one of the handful of covers that I was interested in on Felix's cover art drop, so it's good to see that it found a great home. Bilquis creates some lovely images and this one is no exception.

Thanks! After my previous failed attempts at a cover by Bilquis, I knew that I'd have to ignore every other cover in the recent Felix drop and completely zero in on this one. I'm still thrilled that I was able to land it.

Spectacular cover, Michael! Love the hair and arms here... and the jacket and building... and her smile... The list goes on and on... An excellent use of Bilquis' amazingly clean linework to bring across an elegant, happy Rogue. And the snow in the background just makes it feel even more like Christmas! :) Fantastic add, Michael - sincere congrats!

NO KIDDING, "love at first sight!" This is a beautiful cover. Rogue's smile, the angle of her body, the detail on the background setting. There is so much to let your eye fall on and appreciate here.
