I've tried a couple of times before for a piece in one of Chris Samnee's doodle sales, but wasn't quick enough. This time, I set my sites on one specific piece, kept refreshing as the seconds to the launch drew near and scored the one I wanted! (well, in honestly, there were a bunch I wanted!). I was able to score a second piece, with the help of a good friend, who did the same! Here's Chris' awesome take on a classic Godzilla.

On the back of the sketch is the very start of what looks like another Godzilla, drawn in the portrait mode, as opposed to this landscape sketch.

6"x4" on smooth bristol paper.

Amazing. The way he controls the lighting as part of the textures.

So you're the one who snatched this out of my cart!!! I only have myself to blame lol. I got greedy and tried for 3!!! Thought I would be fast enough. You would've probably beat me anyway but it would've been close lol! In the end I got nothing.

Doh! lol sorry..yeah, going for three is gona be tough...I thought I almost had the Kong, as well..but I hesitated a milisecond somehow...the 'Zilla I was right on it...whew..got lucky with that one.

I love how much Samnee can get out his use of black and white imagery and negative space. Really a unique talent!
