When Ben Reilly was first introduced as a subplot in the Spider-Man books in 1994, his face would be obscured in order to build suspense around this mystery character. That�s why we don�t see his face on this page.

I�ll admit that I loved nearly everything about the Spider-Clone story at the time, as I thought the Spider books had gotten a bit stale in the months before the start of this storyline. And Sal Buscema? One of the few letters that I ever wrote to Marvel was to complain when he was taken off the book a couple of years later. He and Alex Saviuk were my definitive Spider-Man artists as a kid.

Wonders can some lines in the backgroud make! And I always loved a Spidey crouchin' on wall scene :) Congrats!

I love Sal's Spidey. He was the main reason I picked up Spectacular Spider-Man at that time.
