I wasn't planning on a post this month but I got this in the mail and couldn't resist sharing, and it's nice to mark convention sketches by posting them close to when the con happened, particularly when one starts looking back on previous years and pieces posted etc etc.

I absolutely love this take on Death, the pose, HER HAIR!, and the embellishment on the phone.

Bill knocked it out of the park! Thanks also to Bill Cox, for inventing this very fun event.

As you may have noticed, I added the phrase 'Comic Art Mystery Sketch' into the header. If you are so inclined, please do the same - it will be quite fun to search for the term and see what the artists produced.

Bill is so incredibly prolific, and yet he nevers seems to just phone it in. Except in this case, where Death has a phone. Ba dum tss.

There's nothing that Bill Morrison CAN'T do from an artistic perspective. He's got such a range of skills - I'm glad you showed this piece off so people understand he's not just "that Simpsons guy". Congrats on the lucky draw!
