Description

As a collector on a budget, I came to the realization that a published Harris page featuring an image of Jack Knight (and I mean a really good image) is both hard to come by and a little out of my range when they do come by.

So I went right to the man himself, Tony Harris - one of my favorite artists and co-creator of one of my favorite characters.

You'd think he'd be tired of drawing his most popular character, but you'd be mistaken. He so delights in the fact that Jack continues to resonate with fans as much as it resonated for him. He even takes the opportunity to update him a little bit when he does render Jack. In this case, the "OPAL CITY" knuckle tats are a huge stand out for me. They highlight both the city that was as much a character in Starman as Jack himself and his love for his hometown. Harris's love for Jack shows in this piece and I couldn't be more pleased.

And as a delightful bonus for a process nerd like myself, he photographed several steps in the process of creating this commission.

Seeing the additional tattoos is a realistic and cool touch. Jack should probably have some grey in his beard too ;)
