Description

This is some of Chris Mooneyham's concept artwork that he did for his run on Nightwing with writer Ben Percy in 2018! Mooneyham drew this in pencil and ink on 11 by 14 inch board.

I'm a big fan of design and concept work and loved seeing Mooneyham's take on the character starting in Nightwing #44. Even though they didn't use this look I really liked the more practical concept of the pants, shirt, jacket combo instead of the traditional one-piece superhero costume. I also really enjoyed Mooneyham's style on the book. It felt familiar with JRJR vibes but still it's own thing.

Chris did great work on Nightwing. It would have been cool to see this look in action.

Very nice art keeping fashions and attitude in mind when designing this for form, fit, and functionality.
