When I saw this at Heroes and was blown away - DWJ killed this. Congrats my friend!

Great over the top art (where is Cable's head in all that oversized tech?) by indeed a commission assassin.

Really fun Cable commission that features big guns, lots of pouches and a tiny head! Everything we expect and want from our war torn hero Cable.

He blew the doors off it, Eranga. Liefeld pouch size congratulations to you! Unbelievably good.

It's nice to see that DWJ went minimal with the gun and tech. Sometimes an artist will draw Cable with a big gun ;)

Stunning Cable commission! But couldn't you have gotten a larger gun?

As good as the guns, suit, and character are, I'm most struck by the lush inks and mesmerizing atmospherics in this perfectly composed drawing. Amazing piece

Same! The composition of the background is what really completes the piece for me. Even though the figure's stranding still, there's still a sense of movement to the image with the swirling smoke on the ground and behind Cable.

I’m calling a doctor because this thing’s been stiff since I saw this art on Saturday.

Cutting through the darkest night are my two gunsights
Trying to keep it clear, I commissioned it here
With white highlights
Zip a tone adds to my heft
There's an inking brush, thick and tight
You're quite a sight
You're quite a sight
Do you pouchies,
Like I asked you?
Is Cable's standing still
With the DWJ lines?
Cable's standing still
With the scenery smoking by
Eranga's drawing skill
Out of the corner of my eye
Was that you
Drawing meat thighs?

I can't stop looking at this one. It really blows me away. Amazing linework and perfectly placed tones. So good! Huge congrats!

Fantastic piece, E! I love the ones where if you were to "inventory" all the colors / tones on the page, "white" would fall somewhere near the bottom. As always, DWJ thrills and delights us with a spectacular and visceral portrayal of his subject; as big and bold of a result as we were expecting, I think we always fall short of what he delivers to us. Enormous congrats, man!

Most artists, even the great Jim Lee, have a signature look that can be "forged".
Some folks like Bill Sink, SGM, Zaffino, and DWJ "create" - you cant replicate or duplicate what they put on the page because it's all so organic. Well done.

Just love how much he LEANED into the '90s essence of the character :) Congrats!
