DescriptionSpider-Man #94 Pg. 8Pencils by John Romita Jr. Inks by Scott Hanna Written by Howard Mackie HUGE Ox & Kingpin Splash in the Rain! This issue of Spider-Man released in 1998 is extremely sentimental to me for personal reasons related to a friend who passed away. Albert Moy had the entire issue (or most of it, I don't remember exactly now) and broke it up at some point, I would have bought the whole issue if I could have, but I was too late by the time I'd noticed it was out there. I was not as on top of the market and art drops at the time and had a lazier approach I suppose. Anyway I was happy to snag 2 pages from the book including this one which showcases a HUGE image of Ox and Kingpin on this bold JR JR splash featuring rain effects! Social/Sharing |

I did miss this one! Ox dwarfin' Fisk here! I know there's the depth angle but still! JRJR does draw some of the biggest dudes. Congrats, man!

A splash page featuring three absolutely gigantic men yet it doesn't look crowded. The blacks on the piece are spectacular, especially the overall balance between negative and positive space. I like Ox, but I I miss Fancy Dan!

Fair enough! I've always a soft spot for Big Man and The Enforcers in general - Montana and Ox stood out more for me personally but Fancy Dan is cool too!

Don't get me wrong, I love Ox the best because I've always been partial to big, brutish characters, hence my love for The Hulk. I just like Fancy Dan because of the ridiculous name primarily! Reading Asm #10 as a kid was so much fun. A pretty ridiculous trio of characters to put together as a group of supervillains, but as a kid I loved those early Stan Lee stories and characters. I can't get over how much power is being emoted her on this page, particularly because of the sheer size of Ox. So awesome!

Awesome splash page! Congratulations. I love how thick and massive JRJR made OX. Takes a lot to make Kingpin look small.
