DescriptionFinal page splash from the Fall from Grace arc as we see a rare moment of joy for Matt Murdoch. I loved this storyline and McDaniel’s art was a big part of that. I really didn’t care that he was doing a Miller derivative. It was bold and moody and perfect for the ambiance of the book.I know DD’s armor was divisive at the time. But even as a teenager, I knew it was just a blip and the classic red would come back. So I LOVED it. And judging by the recent spotlight on the armored costume from Marvel, I wasn’t the only one. Another item checked off from my nostalgia list! Interesting note: I missed this splash when it first became available so doubled down on trying to cut a deal on another page via private negotiations. That fell through just before the finish line and I was really bummed out. Less than 24 hours later, I got an email that this splash was available again. Take it from me - sacrificing a goat to the Comic Art Gods sometimes works. Social/Sharing |

poor goat! he took one for the team though. Man I loved McDaniel's run on DD and this is such a fantastic aerial shot/splash. You get the silhouetted birds, the water tower, and the Chrysler building all backing up DD, so good!! congrats, love this!

I never meant to be so Matt to you
One thing I said that my Chichester do
A book from you, and I would Fall From Grace
And that would write the style right from my page
Devasurendra when we used to dance
And incidents arose from armored pants?
One inks led to my Hector, we were young
And we would scream together Scott unsung
Wizard’s heat of the moment
Telling me what my art meant
The heat of the comment
Showed in your lines
And now you find yourself in '92
McDaniel hot art cannot harm Foggy
You can concern yourself with Chrysler things
Your splash artwork can ride Daredevil’s wings

Pages from these issues aren't easy to find. Congrats my friend on landing a stunning splash! Loved the suit as well and cool to see Marvel bring it back for a bit.

This is the type of page that encapsulates what this storyline is all about. I never even read it, yet I know that's true. Without question, this is THE piece from this series and it leaves you one and done! Congrats, brother!

Why would you sacrifice Lebron? I kid. It's definitely Bird.

Loved McDaniel 's take on DD. His style felt new and yes maybe Miller inspired but certainly not "derivative "
