DescriptionInterspersed with the excellent Avengers-Roxxon Oil/Squadron Supreme story line (Avengers #141-#149) was this cool story line where Kang was looking to take over the Old West. I’m lucky enough to have several Kang pages from these issues. Here is his apparent death after maxing out his power against Thor. He stayed dead for over 10 years until his return in Avengers #267.Social/Sharing |

It was such a nice transition from the Colletta inks to the Grainger inks on this issue. Thanks much for posting this gem from the non-IM corners of your collection.

Beautiful effects by Perez playing with a popular visualization of how frequencies were being shown during the 70's. His Avengers issues put him on the map for team books and how to make every character stand out.
