Description

Right after 9-11-2001- Joe did this piece. I estimate about January or February of 2002. Joe was doing a specialty illustration and mustve done this quick sketch for a fan/friend at his apartment. For such a quick illustration, the Red Skull sure does look menancing.

For a sketch, the brush work is strong on this one! That ghouly Red Skull is reminscent of the era when Cap became a horror title.

Joe always viewed cap as a horror/detective title. Most of the stories are written as "Case files" and stuff like that. Thats some of the reasons why I love the cap comics. I really do love how much is in this quick piece.
