DescriptionThe first of back-to-back Black Panther pages I’m posting today by Chris Allen! From the last volume of BP and from the penultimate issue. Here, T’Challa races to meet his adversary – click one page to the right to see the faceoff!I liked this page a lot due to the nice full shot up top of BP in his costume designed for this run. It’s busier, and there are elements I like and elements not so much. That said, love the large running pose and the clear shot of the shield. Bonus is also having his new ally, Beisa, flanking. Some sleek inks here by Craig Yeung, who I got these pages from via assist from fellow collector bud, Michael Benham – you da man, Mike! And these are my first pages with the setup where the penciller penciled digitally, so no physical pencils exist, but the inker printed those blue lines and inked them. So this is the only physical art. So, yes, blue lines, but not? Or not in the way we traditionally think? In any case! Happy to have these consecutive pages setting up the next issue throwdown! Ha, yeah that costume seems a bit cumbersome, but dig the shield!

What a fantastic two-page sequence!! Love the top splashy panel on this one -- what a super cool shield. The inking by Craig Yeung is spectacular. But hats off to Chris Allen as well for his wonderful pencils. And yeah, with all the digital stuff going on these days, it's a win to even have a physically inked board.

Good point, Paul...this IS indeed the art! And yeah, no question from looking at these pages that Allen poured all he had into 'em...and we're all better for it! Yeung, too. Look how deep those inks are, and all the different line weights! A BP dynamic duo these 2 clearly made.
Thanks, man, and all, for the comments!

Later in the evening, it's been a busy page
He lays his head upon the weary Beisa
Allen’s Panther running, struggle up to pay
"Now I'm with you KG, the inkiest T’Challa"
I do my best on graveyard love that rests Wakanda
It seems like every ink on blue lines doing better
Doing it all for N’Yobi
Craig is as fine as he can be
Inking it all for N’Yobi
For everything he’s enemy

Fantastic sequence from Chris! He's not an easy get and he's doing some great work. I love seeing all the details in this design.

Good point, George, I'm definitely happy and fortunate to have nabbed these.
And speaking of "details" and "design"...that piece you got by Chris ain't too shabby :)
Thanks for the add, man!

What a fantastic Black Panther splash! I'm especially taken by the panther on the shield. I've never heard of this artist, but the style reminds me of Ed McGuinness' style from 10-15 years ago.

Great Allen BP art, but I'm really digging the Yeung inks, the highlight work around solid BP is fantastic. Lots to love here, congrats on this beauty!!!
