Late 80s / early 90s, had stopped reading US mainstream comics, besides Alan Moore's Eclipse / DC post Warrior stuff, but was still looking at exploitation / small press things, felt at the times that O'Barr, Vigil, were "cooler" that Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Liked the corniness of Dragonforce, reminded me of Willingham's Elementals, sillily "sexy". Found this page on Ebay, as "close" to Wrightson as it is to Byrne. Not very well drawn but that red fleshy fold uper left corner kind of makes the page interestingly dirty. Liked the fact that it is airbrushed. Only found out about Keown's Hulk & Pitt many years after the fact, about 10 years ago.
