And a headshot of Mike Grell! A supersized issue feature one new story "The Legion of Super-Executioners" by Cary Bates and Mike Grell and reprints from Superboy #88, Adventure Comics #350 and #351. There was also a feature on current artist Mike Grell and Profiles of Legionnaires. Cardy created a composite cover with the new story, and the reprinted stories from Superboy #88 and Adventure #350 along with additional headshots of Karate Kid, Saturn Girl, Sun Boy and Mike Grell. Super-excited to have this cover- my only Nick Cardy cover. And one that has an image of Supergirl! Social/Sharing |

This is a fantastic Legion cover and one of my favorite issues. Cardy knocked this one out of the park. Congrats!

Now this is FUN in its truest sense! How can anyone not love and be drawn in by the "executioners" panel? That's awesome, such a cool concept! Naturally you're happy that Supergirl also makes an appearance and for a big fan like yourself, I get it! I'm just as happy to see the "young Mike Grell" cameo art! I also get a kick out of the over the top silliness of the "one man team" baseball panel. All of this, created by the premiere cover artis t of the 1970's at DC, makes for a very special piece to have in your collection. Kudos, Miki!

Sweet I think this was my 2nd or 3rd issue I had bought of the Legion after I started collecting comics. I loved those 100 page comics. Congrats on such a great piece of art.

Great cover by Nick. It's too bad that he didn't draw a few Legion stories. He probably would've had to learn all the characters but he definitely would've drawn the most wholesome LSH of the 1970's.
