Description

Certainly one of my personal Matt Wagner Grail pieces! I am honored to be the caretaker of one of my favorite pages from my absolute favorite issue of Mage: The Hero Discovered. This page was the inspiration for the sketch Matt did for me when I first met him back in 1986. For more details, please read the description I placed on that piece which leads off this gallery. As much as I love the raw self-inked Matt Wagner art from the first 5 issues of this series, the addition of Sam Kieth as inker starting with this issue took the artwork to a whole new level of greatness in my eyes!
