Description

This tastefully painted pin-up of Lady Death (unadorned with her usual armor, but conveniently draped with this handy bit of cloth) is by Sabrina Ringenbach of France. Mixed Media on watercolor paper at approx. 9 1/8"x 11 1/2." I really enjoy the intimate feel of this piece.

Delicate and graceful, Lady Death allows herself to show a more vulnerable and tender side that is more soft and welcoming. She is to be treated as a lady beofre anything else.

I love how you say "She is to be treated as a lady before anything else." It makes me think back to her origin...she was a sweet, vulnerable lady to begin with (as many of us are)...her experiences made her into the ruthless warrior queen of death we know her as today, but that doesn't mean that when the armor comes off (literally, in this case, and figuratively) at least part of her isn't still just Hope, incarnate (as many of us are). A good thing to remember about women, people, and/or those who wear armor (real or figurative).

beautiful painting of Lady Death. it's always a treat to see commissions or pin-ups of LD. as she is one of my favorite characters.

I like to see different takes on her too...she's a fantastic character with more to her story than many give her credit for...they probably get too distracted by her assets. LOL
