DescriptionR.I.P. Werewolf Jones2-page story by Eisner award-winning cartoonist Simon Hanselmann. This is a quiet, poignant moment in a series usually filled with raunchy shenanigans. Collected in Seeds and Stems by Fantagraphics Read Hanselmann’s Crisis Zone for probably the best allegory of what it felt like in those early days of the pandemic. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robsalkowitz/2021/08/17/crisis-zone-is-the-excessively-graphic-treatment-that-2020-deserves/?sh=6d7433ff4df8 Social/Sharing |

I’ve always been a lone wolf, so I don’t feel the lack. It’s all I’ve ever known, I’ve never experienced loss because I have never had a loved one to lose. But what is grief, if not love persevering?

These are so nice! It neve ractually occured to me that Hanselmann might be applying the colors directly onto his line art, but it's quite a nice surprise!

Thanks, Ruben. I think Hanselmann uses a combination of media, including food coloring and watercolor to get those colors without overwhelming the line art. They're really vibrant in person.
