DescriptionI have really wanted an original piece from Giorgio Comolo for some time now. I love the detail that goes into the larger color pieces. I passed on a Spider-Man Green Goblin giant color piece that Burkey had for sale in the past year, and ultimately regretted it. I had my chances too. I also thought pretty hard about a Kirby recreation that was up for CAF Live this year, but ultimately went for this Thanos. This isn't the giant Comolo piece I have always wanted, but it's a great place to start. The crosshatching on this piece really sold me. It is beautiful, especially when you look at the detail that went into the skull and Thanos' armor. I honestly wasn't trying to go for another skull piece. It just happened. Comolo nails the character design of the Mad Titan, and you can feel the energy coming off of that Tesseract! Also very excited to see that it came with the prelim! I love looking at both and seeing the full detail that went into the final piece. Comolo piece #1, check. The next shall be bigger and badder. Huge thank you to Chiara! I'll be back! Social/Sharing |

You're getting two characters with this with how much work went into each and how they convey that energy of villainy!

Thanos considers that a boudoir photo. His first love! I have admired Comolo's work for years, and this is gorgeous. I'm gonna have to take a look and pick up a piece. Killer work, as he does, and so much detail. And I'm with you on that cross-hatching. Great score. Congrats!

Now this is one heck of a piece to build from. I can't wait to see how you top it with your next one from Comolo.

The preliminary is a eye catching, but the finished piece is awesome. Prefer Comolo using this style over the heavy anuglar technique seen on his other pieces. This style makes the figure of death more forboding. Congrats.
