Description

I'm a huge Lakers fan, so when this storyline came out I had to have this page. The issue came out right before the first game of the 2001 NBA finals when Kobe and Shaq's Lakers played Allen Iverson's Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers; the Lakers lost the first game (the only game they lost in the playoffs that year) but won the series, so depending on which game Benito bet on, the story could have had a happy ending or a not-so-good one.

Stunning page by Eduardo Risso from 100 Bullets! Love that second panel in which the intricately decorated casino ceiling becomes the backdrop for the whole page. Everything about this page is an artistic triumph! Great pick-up, congrats!
