Pretty fun as they collected these later on into two issues that showed off Beatty's range and fondness for the history of comics. This was at a time when the history of comics wasn't as available, studied, and rarely made in an appealing format.

I wish someone would put out a book of all Beatty's covers and comics from the Buyer's Guide to Comics Fandom. Also, I'll say that back in the 70's when I was a kid, I reread Jules Feiffer's The Great Comic Book Heroes, Thompson's All in Color For a Dime, and Steranko's History of comics a lot. Maybe not as much comics history as now but there were still a few great books.
