This is the title page to the Savage Sword of Conan issue #122 the Blossoms of the Black Lotus. Ernie Chan is THE Conan artist! The mood, textures and overall look of Conan always made me think that this is the way Conan should be represented. And he did it with no color!!!!

That is one stellar splash! The little ticks actually makes the scene look better when pulling back to see how Chan uses it like tonal work for all the surface textures of stones, textiles, and the tower.
