Original Cover Art from Johnny Bruck (1964). Gouache/acryl mixed media on illustration board.

This piece is the cover of edition #4 of the German PERRY RHODAN paperback edition called Planetenromane (Planet Novels). It was published under the titel 'Sturz in die Ewigkeit' (Fall into Eternity) in 1964.

This artwork was professionally cleaned and the background white slightly refreshed by current Perry Rhodan illustrator Arndt Drechsler-Zakrzewski.

I believe this painting was clearly inspired by an earlier piece from John Schoenherr for ANALOG in the early 1960s.
