DescriptionThis is a nice one for a robot lover like me...Original cover art from Johnny Bruck (March 22, 1921 - October 6, 1995). Gouache on illustration board. Roughly 14x20 in B3 format size. Cover of German Atlan episode 639, published in 1983 under the title 'Der Arsenalführer' (The Arsenal Leader). Atlan da Gonozal is a main character of the Perry Rhodan series. Given the character was very popular, it was given its own series within the Perry Rhodan universe starting 1969. It was quite successful and the last edition #850 was published in 1988. So much more colorful than the published cover! Her gypsy clothing is quite lovely and the yellow flooring leading to pink atmosphere outside of the doorway is eye catching. The robot seems to be the hero in this one!

Right, at first I thought the figure in the door was shooting at the robot (and was a bad shot) but then I realized that the robot is rescuing the woman before she gets assassinated! As soon as robots become available, i'm gonna get one. Given our world's political climate it will pay to play it safe. LOL
