DescriptionOriginal Cover Art - Karl Stephan (1923 - 1980).Cover of episode #153 of the early German science fiction pulp series TERRA NOVA. Published under the title 'Der Sternensegler' (The Star Sailor) on December 4, 1970. Gouache on illustration board. TERRA NOVA is a German SF pulp series which was published from 1968 - 1971 (190 episodes). It basically was the successor of the older TERRA and TERRA EXTRA series. At this time, PERRY RHODAN was already the most successful SF series in Germany. Karl Stephan was the main illustrator of this series with approximaltely 150 covers. Johnny Bruck also created a few cover illustrations. Social/Sharing |
