Cool observation! To my untrained eye I had just thought it was a cleft in the rock. Of course you are correct. That ominous shadow of their foe is infinitely more enticing to the would-be reader of "Revolt on Phoenix".

Looks like Bruck too inspiration from the WWI genre with ground level trench warfare! Designed right down to the war time helmets.

very cool piece. definately feels like a hybrid between a sci-fi scene and a war comic scene!
