Description

I won this Joe Staton Dick Tracy Original Daily Newspaper Comic Strip at the NCS 2023 Reubens Auction. This is the fundraising auction for the National Cartoonist Society Foundation.

After the auction, Joe was kind enough to remarque the piece with original head sketches around the borders of the strip art. Each head sketch is distinctly different representing different characters from Dick Tracy.

Ink on 11 x 17 Canson Comic Book Art Board. Published 11-14-12 and 11-15-12 by Tribune Media. The two strips are on one board top and bottom. The storyline features a flashback to the 1930’s. Signed by Joe.
