I was fortunate to start collecting before the hobby became so expensive, back when discovering a hidden gem in a stack of pages still felt possible. At the end of the day, I’m simply a fan—probably a little sentimental about the things I collect. For me, the real connection often comes from the story behind the pickup and the “why” that made it impossible to leave behind.
At this point, though, I’m done collecting and have sold—or am in the process of selling—most of the collection. It just feels like the right time for me. I’ll keep a handful of pieces that carry a deeply personal connection, but I feel fortunate to have experienced the hobby the way I did. I’ve had a great time collecting, meeting people, and building this collection over the years, and I’m happy to be able to step away from it on my own terms.
