DescriptionThis was such a great find for me, as a HUGE fan of the Micronauts toys as a kid, but not so much the comics. And a HUGE fan of Gil Kane's artwork. This massive piece of art, all drawn, for Micronauts 45 is a wraparound cover! Even the figures on the left are drawn and not pasted on. A stunning piece of work from 1982. I'm told Gil Kane did all the inks on this.Social/Sharing |

What a catch! It looks like a marker job, which would strongly imply that the cover is 100% Kane.

All Gil Kane. The color guide for this one was sold not long ago, maybe the new owner will let you put them together?

Really?! Wow, that would be amazing to find it - if you know who has it please let me know! :)

Another case where the original is so much nicer than the printed piece. Really enoy the level of detail that is present in this black and white artwork.
Congrats on the find and glad it has found a home within your collection.

The near uniform fading of Kane's marker inks almost makes it look like it was done on duo-shade paper. Cheers!

Normally I am a big fan of this series' recurring hero characters. But in this case, the large human guest steals the show.
