Huge illustration from Bard Mendoza of TMNT leader Leonardo. This may be my first piece of OA with a ninja turtle, how did it take so long?

Image is 11"x17" on slightly larger paper, charcoal and gold. Thanks to Bard and Jiggy at Next Comic Art.

Unexpected technique! Who would have thought gold streaks would pair up so well with graphite? This definitely needs to matted in a glass frame to keep it safe from smudging. Another great one to hang over the tiny books!

Wow, that's a drop-dead gorgeous ninja turtle. (Something I don't think has ever been written about a turtle as I Googled it).

the gold and yellow touches really add some extra flair to an already great Leonardo image. nice one - congrats on first TMNT piece
