DescriptionAn 18" x 24" recreation of Neal Adams' cover to CONAN #37, with the trade dress removed at my request since I felt it crowded Adams' layout. Chris therefore extended the art in the place of the trade dress.Chris did a great job following my request for the changes to this cover. Chris came up with a treatment for breaking up the black. There is a portion of the dark shadow background in the lower left under "Skull-face's" elbow which was broken up a bit in an interesting way, so Chris continued that pattern around him inside the arch, along with some feathering to punch it up. A really good one to recreate because Adams made this to be a timeless classic with a place and time that does not go out fo fashion or tied to any particular era. Drawing it big is going make it look more impressive in person.

Wow, that is impressive Ray. Chris showed great artistic judgement on this recreation. Would love to know where the original is...for me, this is a top three cover for Neal for sure.
